though i am not much a fan of them, i actually organized one tonite for my brother's 40th birthday, which is actually next week.

the pro's

get to get outta the house
get to see the neices and nephews
my brother is scared to death of clowns, and i am announcing a special guest who is a clown (i really wanted to rent a clown but my mom shot that down quick) but the look of fear on his face when i have a nephew walk in holding balloons will be more than enough to elicit the fear i like to see from him

the con's

both sides of my family will be there
my mom will be there as will my dad, who when they are together are about as civil as the US and Iran
trying to organize this. what a pain in the ass, so and so cant make it this night but can this one, but then another couldnt make it that night what about this one etc..

surprise parties are only gay if you hide behind couches and turn the lights off and jump out and yell surprise! when he/she walks through the door.

it happened so fast, but i wish i had the video of it.

my brother is deathly afraid of clowns. before we cut the cake, i made an announcement that we had one more guest, carla the clown.

my brother turned a very visable shade of white and started backpeddling. he said in a strong voice in front of about 40 people, i am going to kick your fucking ass

just then i had a nephew walk in with a bunch of balloons in front of him so my brother couldnt see him, and it was this close >< to actually seeing a 40 year old shit themselves

I don't get that "scared of clowns" thing. My daughter is afraid of clowns too, and nothing ever happened to her.

But she's not THAT afraid.
