I downloaded Selected Ambient Works vol. 2 and it is a tad on the scary side. I nearly blacked out that night after listening to the album all day. I think the music had something to do with it :x

I'm sure it did! Aphex Twin is crazy!
There is only one reason for listening to that, at least with me and that's to enhance the effects of certain drugs. Come to Daddy is one crazy album too!

That guy is nuts. He messed with the sound frequency on one of his songs so that a frequency analysis yielded a picture of his face.

I've absolutely loved everything Aphex Twin has put out. If you want to get a sampling of his stuff, try Drukqs. Good, good album.

I started getting into these guys (this guy?) last week. What an incredible fucking project. I'm addicted. Definitely a new favorite. I'm having a hard time stopping 'Girl/Boy Song' and 'Flim' and basically all of 'Drukqs.'

I ordered both ambient works albums the other day, and they should arrive some time next week. I can't wait.

I tried out his ambient stuff and didn't really enjoy it; Volume 2 seemed to drag on and on. Drukqs is OK but I can't take heavy doses of it.

Come To Daddy and Windowlicker, however, are classics and I can listen to them over and over.

Ambient Works '85-'92 is very good. If you like #2, make sure you check out the first, too.

I am frightningly scared.

warning: do NOT listen to this stuff with good headphones in the dark.

Drukqs (drug use) is ridiculous.

Gonna download Ambient Works today.

Bumping.

Aphex Twin is wicked. I listened to him on and off for ages, but most recently i've really gotten into RDJ and Chosen Lords (recommended by a friend). How do selected ambient works and Druqs compare, stylewise.
