Ghosts of the Great Highway is one of my favorite albums of the 00's, but I haven't looked too far into Red House Painters yet. 'Grace Cathedral Park' is an amazing tune though.

I have a RHP CD, I don't even remember which one it is, because it stopped working like a week after I got it. So it's been sitting here for years and I still can't listen to it. Lame!

His songs whether with RHP or SKM make me sad and a bit whimsical. I love it.

I think you're safe no matter what you choose next. My personal fave is Songs for a Blue Guitar, but I think Ocean Beach and maybe II might be more your style. Might as well just get the whole catalog, but throw in the Sun Kil Moon records for good measure.
