I have it, but it's all in Japanese, so I'm having trouble understanding it. But from what I've played, absolutely amazing. I suggest you pick up a Wii Sunny. Even if it's only for this game

I'm seriously thinking about it. It's kinda like some people that bought a PS2 just for Grand Theft Auto 3. Wii prices are dropping constantly.

The review above said the game is so good, that Mario doesn't even have to be in the game for it to play this well.

I played it yesterday in Gamespot...I officially need a Wii now. The game looks great, feels great, and controlling Mario as he runs around environments 360 degrees is amazing. *jealous of Wii owners*

If you buy it at Toys R Us, you get a $25 gift card. So you're essectially getting a Game-of-the-year calibur game for $25.

Some are saying it can be mentioned in the same breath as SMB3 and Mario64. It's a shame there's only been 1 console Mario game since 1996.

I presume you mean on ebay and the resell market, as I still (other than the day i stood in line for 6 hours to get one) have only seen a Wii on the shelf in a store one time, in the year since it has come out.

I stand corrected. I just did a a bunch of searches on epinions, pricegrabber, sickdeals, etc. The lowest price I found (including shipping) was $373. I think the msrp is still $500 or something. Ecost was selling them for less than $300, but they're obviously out of stock now.
If people are still standing in line for a Wii, why aren't the sales showing the Wii on top? Nintendo clearly has a supply issue.

The retail price of a Wii (non bundle) is $249.99.

as for sales...
Wiki says...
Worldwide sales figures

* Wii: 13.17 million as of September 30, 2007[14]
* Xbox 360: 13.4 million as of September 30, 2007[16]
* PlayStation 3: 5.59 million as of September 30, 2007[17]

Its more than double PS3, and more thana Xbox360- Which came out a full year earlier.

I'll take your word for it over mine. I could've sworn PS3 sales were on top, but then again, every site says something different. If only Sony made games of such caliber as this.

Everyone though PS3 was going to be bigger... and that only helped nintendo. In my opinion at least. I think so many people knew PS3 was going to be impossible to get before christmas '06, that they started to look for alternatives- and what better alternative then the system that was half the price.

They then sold themselves on the Wii (which most thought they'd have a better chance of getting), which was further helped by the fact that people would go over to christmas parties and get hooked on tennis and bowling. At this point, news stories came out basically saying "the Wii is so much fun, you can't control yourself." as people threw their WiiMotes through their TV's.

By then it didnt matter that the graphics are nothing special, the WiiMote is a bit gimmicky... People WANTED a wii- and just totally removed the PS3 as an option from their minds.

I wanted one for christmas. My mom gave me Gift cards, since she couldnt get her hands on one... and I looked probably 4 days a week at 10 different stores hoping to get one, and i finally did about a month after christmas. I would say starting the day after christmas, i was able to find PS3's at about 75% of stores before i ever saw a Wii.....

and other than the day i camped out at Target for hours (those sold out w/i ten minutes of opening) I have seen a Wii once. At Toys R Us they had one left when i was buying my neice a birthday present.

I can't wait to get this game. I plan on getting a Wii for Christmas, and I'll definitely pick this up. I'm also really looking forward to the upcoming Mario Kart title, those games never disappoint.

I didn't realize Wii was selling so well. SINCE IT IS CAN WE PLEASE GET GAMES LIKE NCAA FOOTBALL AND ASSASSIN'S CREED??? I still don't understand why a third party developer like EA Sports would discontinue the college football game for Nintendo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This will easily be the game of the year on Wii, no doubts.

dude, games like assassin's creed are developed specifically for next gen systems,there's no way they'd water down such a high presentation game to meet the lower powered wii

Zelda doesn't hold a candle to this game. At least this game pushes the power of the Wii like no other game, and makes 480 standard resolution look absolutely gorgeous.

Reviewers have already said that this game is the landmark moment that the Wii has been waiting for since its release. It'll definitely go down in Mario history right up there with Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario 64.

This game has the best graphics i've seen since Wind Waker. Ah, and graphics to me is much more than billions of polygons.

This game does have amazing artwork. Check out the 480p footage on IGN.
