There are some nice beaches around Del Mar. There are also some interesting museums there if you like oceanography and whatnot... The one I think I went to was the Scripps museum, but that was some time ago. They have one of the more noteworthy zoos there as well, and there's a whole bunch of museums as Balboa Park. Sea World is always popular, it's good for half a day or so. If you like tidepools, you can go to Ellen Scripps Browning Park in La Jolla, where you'll always find seals, and you can look at the cute little crabs swimming around. Then you can wander around La Jolla for awhile, that town is pretty nice. I heard they used to have a popular nude beach at Blacks Beach south of Del Mar, but apparently that got shut down.

It's nothing personal, but you pretty much always think the exact opposite of what I do. It happens so consistently that I'm amazed by it. Like saying San Diego isn't nice, or that quantity of chicks beats out quality of chicks. I personally think opinions can be wrong, and (in my opinion) a lot of yours are. Like I said, it's more amazement than anything. I can't help it.

The last time I was in San Diego, I caught a Padre *muffled laugh* game after having lunch at the Hamburguesa Restaurant & Cantina with a man named "Bubbles."
