Long story short: When I was 22, I was dating a bicycle a couple years older than me. One night after a lot of sex, it and I cuddled in bed and we promised each other something. We promised that if neither of us were married by the time we were 25, we'd marry each other. Well, I'm 25 now and the bicycle is just sitting there.

Trouble is, it won't go anywhere. I haven't mention our promise, but I think that may be a reason why it's refusing to move. I'm so confused. :(

Surely there can't be an never ending downward helter skelter of inevitably worsening spin off threads?
