My aunt was diagnosed with leukemia this past summer. She has spent most of the time in the hospital. Last month the doctors said that there was nothing more they could do for her. Last Thursday they let her go home 'cause she was doing "better" however last night they rushed her to the hospital.
She seems to be losing her lucidity...she's talking about seeing a bright light....talking to her deceased sister...not aware of those who are in the room with her....she may be leaving us very soon...

One of my sister's friends was diagnosed with Leukemia when we were in 5th grade. When she passed away, she left a very warm hearted vibe throughout our community. I'm sure your aunt will do the same.

i hope she's facing it all with positiveness; seeing her sister again...and i hope that you all go through this as moothly as possible even if it's easier said than done

im sorry to hear that GI...my aunt died of Multiple Myloma just over a year ago...she was 58 the same age as her sister (my mom) when she passed...it helps to know they're not suffering anymore cause cancer is an awful disease as im sure you know...still nothing can prepare you for it...how old is your aunt?

ps-light years is a great song to listen to...when my mother died in 2000 i listened to this song allot and it helped...

Man that sucks. I feel for you. My one grandmother went that way (I was really young, so I'm not sure what kind of cancer she had, I think it was stomach), and it's the worst way to watch someone go. Especially someone you care for.
