one of my coping mechanisms is to bottle things up inside and deal with them internally, not involving anyone else in my problems, not letting anything out, not letting anyone know what i'm going through. i've wondered if that's actually hurt my progress in solving them.

Unless you make the decision to not allow yourself to be ruled by the sorrow.

the point is that it doesn't go away if denied...it festers inside, often causing physical and emotional illnesses.
for someone not used to expressing themselves, it's no easy feat to express, let go, freely...but it will make a tremendous difference in your life; Trust me (just this once, k? )

funny thing is that I know more about your private life than some of my own friend's. you've spilled pretty much everything of your life over numerous message boards so i'm not really understanding how you can say you bottle things up. unless of course there's even more than that which means you have some serious issues.
