Word on the Batman Soundtrack & Standee?
Source: Superhero Hype! January 31, 2005

'ExtremeBatmanfan' has possibly more on the Batman Begins soundtrack:

I have a followup to my scoop about Green Day being apart of the Batman Begins soundtrack. Well, I have done some major digging around and have found out some more bands that will be on the soundtrack. In addition to the three songs from Green Day (the two newly recorded tracks, and Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, the theme to the film), newly recorded tracks from The Cure, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Dave Navarro, Chevelle, and Metallica. Making for a total of 11 songs.

Interesting. I doubt that Pearl Jam would let their song be used if the movie was terrible.

Isn't Tim Burton (Big Fish) doing the movie?? Doesn't seem impossible.

Edit: Nevermind. I don't know why I thought he was.

No. Christopher Nolan (Memento) is doing the movie.

No, it's Christopher Nolan (Memento, Insomniac).

I can't remember the whole cast, but it's phenomenal ... Christopher Bale, Katie Holmes, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman?, someone else I can't remember.

It's supposed to be much more of a drama than an action movie. Perhaps fitting for a Pearl Jam song.

Agreed. Not since 'Godzilla' have so many bands been brought togehter to TRY and lend credibility to a movie.
It'll be interesting to see if this materializes. Maybe we'll get a Cypress Hill / PJ reunion.... "ain't nothin' but the REAL THING!"

This better be music inspired by the film. If they use these songs in the movie, I will be very disappointed. Movies should have scores. They should not rely on the catch of the day music wise to draw in an audience. The only thing this accomplishes is making the movie sound dated.

anyone remember Batdance?

Actually, Batdance was a song inspired by the film. It didn't appear in the flick. The only Prince songs that did appear were "Party Man" and "200 Balloons."

Maybe they could do some music for Revenge of the Sith too. God knows that franchise needs SOMETHING to save it.

I read about a man to whom I may be related, he's Batman.
Died a long time ago in the 1980's...Batman, Batman.
Covered with latex, but it was too tight.
Underneath the moon in the woods at night...

Makin' the rounds ten miles a day,
Once a month they'd spot him, here's what they'd say...
"Here he comes, he's a man of Gothamland.
He's Batman. Smile on his face, a Bataxe is his belt.
He's Batman."

Comes out of the Batcave once a day to be fed.
Wasn't known to say much, but "Thank you, Alfrrrreddd."

So modern day I walk my way, my cape all faded,
Just like a man of latex whom I may be related.

, but when he asked for a light,
Appeared to be an animal, yet so polite.

Makin' the rounds ten miles a day.
Once a month they'd spot him and here's what they'd say...
"Here he comes, he's a man of Gothamland, he's Batman.
Smile on his face, Bat-axe in his hand.
He's Batman."

Shake his hand he's Batman.
Grab his cape he's Batman.
Shame he's not real. I saw his Batmobile,
It's all that's left of Batmaaaaaaannnnn.

Give me some skin, he's Bat........maaaan.
