Does Frank Darabont know that there are other authors besides Stephen King? Anyhow, this doesn't look all too original (and I know it's just the trailer, but mist can't get into a store because the front door is locked? ). As a matter of fact, it looks pretty derivative of other movies and horror stories. I'll see it just because Thomas Jane is in it, but my expectations are low.

Either as Mickey Mantle in *61 or Todd in Boogie Nights.

Wow, completely forgot the spot in Boogie Nights. Really wasn't a fan of the film, and as for Holmes entwined stories I enjoyed Wonderland much more. I'd have to go with Last Time I Committed Suicide for Jane.

Getting a lot of mixed reviews right now. Some say it will go down as one of the best horror/terror films of all time, to it's good, to it's laughable, to "the ending is too depressing".
I'm a sucker for Darabont/King films, so once again, I'm seeing it! No one else here? Come on! This isn't Hostel or Saw!

You go see it, tell me if Andre Braugher is in it for more than 2/3rds of the movie, then ill consider it.
a review i read gave away the ending. definitely depressing stuff but people who appreciate deviations from movie and horror norms might enjoy it.

In the original short story, the ending is kind of ambiguous and slightly suggestive. I've read somewhere that they might've changed the ending in the film.
Yeah. The acting isn't all that good, but I expected that. Kind of preachy yeah. Too long. Overrall not that good. But the monster scenes were fun! I owed it to Mr. Darabont to see it.

Although I didn't like the ending of the film, and you're not supposed to, I talked about it for a while to my wife, I was so frustrated, but I realized I liked this movie, alot, this is one of the best horror movies to come out in a long time, When you are the edge of your seat throughout the film, talking at the screen, being frustrated with the characters (in a good way), it makes for a good film
Horror films are supposed to frustrate you and make you talk to the screen. I hardly ever do that but this film was nicely done. This will be a purchase when it comes out on DVD.

Yeah, talking to the screen. Do me a favor, don't do that. My brother and I sat with the whole senior class of some high school (Or is seemed that way) and had to listen to fucking chatter the whole damn time. "Ohhhh!! look that guys got his leg taken off! gross!" Yeah i don't need a fucking narrator! I swear, you'd think this was the first time they have ever seen a movie before. And it was impossible to tell them all to shut up. No more monster movies I'm done
