The bigger the avatars get the more annoyance they tend to create.

well if you have 400X800 yeah, but as long as you don't have a completely craptasic monitor 100x100 isn't really going to be a noticeable annoyance. Not compared to the people posting with it anyway.

well, you know something is wrong when we can't even get our avatars to be as big as frank's penis. Hence my request for 100x100

Still, better than the message pit where you get none avatars.

I hope we're not judging ourselves on the standard "at least we're better than synergy". :?

Would be sweet if it was notched up to 100x100. Instead of having the pics saved on the server .. just have the images linked from a website, like http://www.imageshack.us/.

I'm with Buggy on this one. Large avatars are a nuisance. Once you get your 100x100, you'll soon ask for 150x150, and the line will never end. I also think signatures should be limited to 2 lines; some dudes have like 5 lines of quotes in their sig.

Not really, just talking about 100x100 here. Seriously how much of an inconvenience is 1cm going to be? I don't really see how this is going to affect the way you read the board.

I really like demetrios' suggestion too, and lets not even talk about synergy.

And just throwing ideas out there, but is there a way to have an auto-adjust or disable avatar option in the control panel? This might help everyone get what they want. I have no idea if it is doable or not.

Exactly, it's not going to have an affect on the way you read the board, but increasing the size will have a positive effect on representation and how we perceive ourselves.
