would your family accept this without hesitation, and completely comfortably?

my dad's reaction was kind of like PD is talking about I think- he kind of tried too hard to be accepting of his step daughter's boyfriend, (and then husband), maybe just to show how 'accepting' he is- I don't actually put him down for that though, he's an old man and even though he brought up his own kids very liberally, he was raised in a different time and world.
i think anyone of my aunts, uncles, mother and father would shit out a freaking brick in no time
i think the only aunt that wouldnt cry would be my mothers sister in law who considers me her 3rd child
my cousins wife actually brought an interacial child (2 years old) to thanksgiving for no other reason than to say, look how accepting i am of my brothers-sister-in-laws-step-daughter
my grandmother was born in 1920 or so, and when she saw there was a darker than normal kid, she almost died

i would dare any family member to say anything about anyone i was dating
i don't think most would mind; maybe my mom's brother- but, again, if he said a word, i'd fucking knock him out my brother would be totally thrilled cuz he wants me to try sleeping with women, so anything out of the norm would be very exciting for him

I would expect them to accept and support any decision I made but I have a feeling I would come up against some resistance on my dad's side of the family, including my dad and step-mom and sister. I have heard some awful crap come out of their mouths in the last five years or so.
