I mean, the bass seems to be putting in check the dude's sanity, like a devil walking around saying witty, malicios things to destroy what you believe.

Edited to make more sense.

GREAT idea. Do it HB!

Rats is pretty awesome, as is Not For You - not flashy by any means, but it totally makes the song for me and the outro is niiice.

yep
they should do an encore with the best Jeff's song (as in best bass lines, not jeff's song per se)
nobody mentionned Jeremy..or is it just so obvious that itt goes without saying ;)
I like Dirty Frank for the bass alone :)

I always like Save You, especially the part where the music breaks down it's just the bass line and drumming.
Additionally, if I were ever a closer for a major league baseball team, Save You would be my entrance music as I ran out of the bull pen.
I'm feeling cocky and strong, can't let you go.

i really think we need a "Musicians/Gear" sub-forum....talk about how to play this song, tab for this song, what gear do you have, talk about guitars, amps....etc. just thinking outloud...

Corduroy bass line is pretty sick too- its so dark on the intro and right before the outro- good stuff.

I just finished learning Sad, that's got a great bass line and not to hard to learn :D

Tremor Christ - Well, the bass is really the lead instrument in this song, really creative and very atmospheric. My personal favourite as you guys already know.

Ocean - Well, that song is pure fretless mwwwaaahhhh

Green Disease - Jeff is a versatile dude, here he maks great use of a pick.

All Those Yesterdays - Simple, but great use of compresson effect, sounds almost like a tuba.

Get Right - Maybethe song isnt awesome , but the bass during the verses is pumping

Fatal - very elegant and classy, I love the production of this song, one of the few songs that i refuse to listen on less than 192kbps, but thats another thread.

Hail² - Intense, sorta of busy, not afraid of fighting with the guitars for more presence, what fits the lyrics quite well.

Wash - Thats a bright tone with a lot of finger noise! Must be roundwound steel strings.

aahm, thats it for now, i tried to not be obvious, although Ocean is a quite obvious one.
