One of my professors insists that this will happen. He tried to hype up this website called SecondLife a while back. Apparently you make your own computer character, go online and walk around and drink coffee and fuck. You can also buy property and wedding dresses and things like that, and they cost real money!

It's basically a virtual world, like The Sims, but instead you interact with other people online.

Yes, except we're not sitting in a virtual coffee shop, drinking virtual coffee that you have to pay real money to not really drink.

I'd make my character like Hulk Hogan, and go around giving everybody the Big Boot

Second Life is for furries. I thought about making an account and joining the GNAA "terrorist" organization (the one that demolished someone's online campaign HQ on that game, Obama's I think) just for the fun of it, but I'm too old for it anymore.

I spent so many years on Everquest that just looking back at all that time I wasted makes me sick. I could've been out of school and probably through with postdoc if it weren't for that game.

Virtual reality can sometimes become 'delusional reality.'
