Munich's finest.

Last Fm syas: "Colour Haze are a contemporary Stoner/Psychedelic (in the words sense) Heavy Rock Three Piece from Munich, Germany. In the tradition of classic Rock-Trios as Cream, The Jimi Hendrix Experience or Grand Funk Railroad. Founded somewhen in the last century, the current line-up consists since May 1999. Since then some records have been made and a lot of following was gained. The group did a lot of shows nationwide and in Belgium, Holland and Austria."

At the moment they are one of my most listened to bands,. they create epic songs around a fuzzy glorious build-up of distortion with plenty of dynamics.

* 1995 - Chopping Machine
* 1998 - Seven
* 1999 - Periscope
* 2000 - CO2
* 2001 - Ewige Blumenkraft
* 2003 - Los Sounds de Krauts
* 2004 - Colour Haze
* 2006 - Tempel

The album that got me started was Periscope which has a lot of josh Homme type guitar tones. they have evolved with each album, the first - chopping machine- draws on so many different styles, could even be classed as post-grunge. For me though they are at their best when they are more experimental, they have a great release called Swamp Sessions,this is sort of the Colour Haze own “desert sessions”, fucking rare, but also brilliant, it’s more psych than their full releases, and way more experimental as well, but has that desert felling we all enjoy, long tracks, a lot of instrumental variations and those guitar licks that makes you grab your guitar immediately.

:D im almost certain your just trying to get a rise out of me.

the singing is vastly different from kyuss, much more subdued and in the background, iv heard someone describe the vocals as smoky. Colour Haze are much more experimental, expansive and psychadellic than Kyuss. For that reason the songs take a bit of time to settle and get into but after that its a wonderful experience!

If you need any links give me a pm.

Just realized this thread was here. Mine was a redux lol. New album, All, is amazing. I find it infinitely more interesting that Kyuss.

New album gets better and better the more I hear it.

The song Turns from the new album has backwards guitar sounds, fuzz, and guitar lines that bring back memories of the opening of a hendrix song (tone wise at least lol).
