I tend to think about the future more than the past or present. Sometimes I wish I could cherish the present a little more than I do, but that's just not how my brain works.

I tend to think about the future more than the past or present. Sometimes I wish I could cherish the present a little more than I do, but that's just not how my brain works.
well, FranCis..i think it's more how we're taught...as children our brains very much worked that way, so what the fuck happened?

children have to live in the present by default, T. They haven't yet accumulated the number of memories they'd need to dwell in the past, nor the cognitive ability to process information as past or present or future yet- therefore they exist in the present almost excusively until they have the experiences logged needed to reference a "past" or compare to a subjective "future"
