I've literally spent over 6 hours today and yesterday trying to burn a fucking DVD from some AVI files.

I have tried, and failed, using the following programs: Nero 7, Nero 8, Roxio Media Creator, Cyberdvd Power2Go, Windows DVD thingy, Cucusoft Ultimate, and I don't even remember what else.

Half the shit I can't even get to work on Vista. The things I have managed to get to work, freeze. I got the closest with Nero 8, and Nero Vision, but it froze whenever I selected a video file to add.

I'm really pissed off about this. Someone help me. What program should I use?

I don't understand why everyone has these Vista problems. I've been using Vista since July/August and I've barely had any difficulties. I've burned dozens of dvd's.

Have you tried ConvertXtoDVD? I use it on Vista and it works fine for me.

freeze? When was the last time you pulled maintenance on your precious machine?

ie. Systems Tools > disk cleanup & defrag?

Also if you downloaded this stuff, make sure you check properties and unblock the file (at the bottom). A new and exciting (read frustrating) feature of Vista Security. :evil:

I hate it too btw.
