while you're at it you should swear off the heat and the dolphins. what terrible teams you've got down there.

I would never swear off a team just because it sucks. Going through the hard times make the good times that much better.

Aren't the Marlins toying with the idea of being done with Miami?
They have been for years now. Its been the same storylines...we need a stadium or we're moving...I'm pretty sure MLB told them no about moving though.

What's the deal with the all white thing at the AA center at Heat games down there? Do they leave shirts on the chairs or something? During the finals two years ago I don't remember seeing a single non-white color in the stands.

So this is the last straw. I'm swearing them off. Again. I've stood by this rotten franchise as they've done this over and over again. And everytime I keep coming back. I keep going to games. Keep watching them on tv. And then they do something like this and I get angry, pledge not to support them anymore, and then April rolls around and well, I love baseball, so I'm stuck again. Not this time. I don't mind supporting a losing team; but when the team continues to do things like this...and acts like its because they have no money...and you find out that between revenue sharing and television, etc, they're working with over $60 million and yet refuse to field a team that is at all worth watching. I really think this is straight out of Major League. They obviously want noone to show up. They either want to move the team, or they've figured out how contracting the team would be profitable.
It's a sad day.
Hmm Im going to call B.S on this but yes the marlins have the most greedy management in baseball
Again, I don't mind rooting for a crappy team but I think Marlins ownership has shown once again that they have no interest in being respectable, let alone comptetitive. When April rolls around we'll see if I actually follow through with it. I really want to...but I'm a sucker and I'll probably be back...

I struggle with this. I think I'd rather have a team that sucks consistently than wins a championship then dumps all the players in 3-4yrs. That's extremely frustrating. You can't even have ties to a player because they won't be there much longer. An example, I'd go nuts if the Lions won a Super Bowl, but probably more nuts if they then traded everyone away.
