this character creeped me the fuck out for several days after seeing this movie. DD-L is a brilliant actor.

i didn't find that role that memorable. in that i dont' remember much of it.

Agreed. Well...actually I do have a memory of it. And it's not a fond one. I disliked that film & that performance immensely. Although he's made absolute shit since then, Adrian Brody's sneak attack win was well deserved.

You didn't find it memorable? I saw the movie in the theater, and of all things things I loved about it, Day-Lewis' performance haunted me for months until I got it on DVD. You can't remember much of it? Some of his lines are fucking incredible, thanks in part to his delivery. Weak sauce, friend. :thumbsdown:

i don't know, i just never really gave it much thought. the movie didn't really resonate with me. scorscese doesn't always get inside my head the way other filmmakers do
