im a BIG fan of the younger eddie(pre-NO CODE).....his voice and style of singing was INCREDIBLE!. I would have to say his best performance was the original studio version of HOLD ON, with NOTHIINGMAN a close 2nd.

Eddie still sounds great today, but he doesnt sing with that deep baritone that he once used so profoundly.

As for Hold On...HORRRIFUCKINGBLE....he was barely on key and sounded awfully. And he never went as deep as he goes now...Long nights / Society

The best Long Nights an Society and In My Tree and The Wolf...to cover extreme low and high registers.

:haha:

My favorite recent vocal performance is LONG NIGHTS, but I love SOMETIMES, for older performances. He sings the song with so much expression. It's like he's really asking a question.

And I love BETTER MAN. His voice sounds like melting chocolate. You could put it on vanilla ice cream and eat it.

No Code has plenty of my favourite vocals, Better Man is a great choice. I like I Am Mine very much. Given To Fly, No Way, Education, Sad Come Back are worth a mention here too.

No he's happy he doesn't and so am I. He was over-singing to the point even Celine Dion wouldn't and was off key.
