i think i said this in the Zodiac thread the other day, but Downey Jr. is becoming one of my favorite actors of his time. i don't even remember why but i used to hate him, but i've seen A Scanner Darkly, Zodiac and this one for the first time in the last few months and damn he's good.

he was good in charlie bartlett too, i like him alot, fun to watch

i really haven't seen that many of his movies except the ones mentioned. after doing some research, i think i hated him because of US Marshals.

I hear alot of people saying that about Downey in Zodiac, but I thought Ruffalo stood out way more than him. Hmmph.

i thought he sucked after US Marshals as well. but within the last year I saw Zodiac and Kiss Kiss and he has completely redeemed himself. (i am a stickler for characters with a dry sense of humor and he plays them very, very well.)

hopefully his new role as Iron Man will not change this...

how did this guy become famous anyway? i can't really think of any real famous movies he was in to start his career.

he was in Less Than Zero which was a pretty popular movie in the 80s.

I've always liked him, but he's like the national poster child for why parents shouldn't casually use drugs in front of their kids.

His father said they used to get stoned together.

His acting ability though is tops
