no...don't have the room for one. would be nice though. i think if you stay away from the entry-level model, and go at least somewhere between top and bottom of the line.

do NOT go cheap. i did and it was the most awkward piece of equpiment i had. and i ended up breaking it.

Dont go cheap and buy a Gazell, those things suck. I would say Dicks Sporting Goods (if there is one near you?) is a great place to go. Despite Wes C's opinion, I have heard good things about ProForm. But if you want a decent one I would say the 700-1000 range is what you may have to spend. At least that's what my girlfriend paid for the she has.

they're much better for your knees and other joints...puts less stress on them than the tread

yeah, i got a gym membership...this is for a friend who hates going to the gym but needs to exercise...especially cuz she has diabetes type 2 and exercise helps control her blood sugar
