Right now i have a Razr. ive had it for a year and it sucks and i hate it. im looking for a new one but all the reviews i read online make everything sound like poop. i like the way the rizr looks but the interface looks really child like from what ive seen in store and online and it also doesnt show the clock on the face of it which is retarded. i looked at the blackberry pearl (besides loving the name) and it seems like more than i need. i dont need a "smartphone" im just a regular 23 year old guy not weighed down by work when im home. and i dont want a phone that i have to pay separately for internet browsing. i looked at the shadow but people seem to not like that either, apparently the windows media on it works like crap and its very fragile and when i saw it in the store it was kinda bulky and still probably more than i need from a phone. should i just suck it up and go for the razr2? anyone have advice on the type of tmobile phone they have with good or bad feedback? thanks people.

you went to a lot of shows.
also, I have tmobile, and just got a razr from them or maybe it's a razr 2, I don't have a clue about the differences.... Um, mine shows the time on the front although the light only stays lit for a minute or so... It has a camera on it as well, which, while cool to some extent, isn't really of much use to me. I don't bother with any of the functionality that it comes with other than what I need, so no IMing on it, no sending of pics and videos, no internet browsing or whatever that "t-zone" shit is... Basically I just use it as a phone, which works out pretty good for me.
Not sure what's so terrible about yours but mine came free (actually, I got two free, and my monthly plan went down, which is always nice) so I'm not complaining.

I have always had good luck with the Samsung phones. I have T-Mobile, my first phone was Samsung and it lasted over 3 years before the display thing kicked it. So I went for the newest Samsung that was free when I wanted a new one. And it's been great as well. Same as Mary said, the clock on the outside only stays lit for a few seconds, they say it helps your battery last longer. I use it for calls, texting, once in a while the camera part. Not much else.

Cingular ftw.
Not anymore!! I've been with Cingular since 99, and LOVED them, since the AT&T switch last year our phones are basically USELESS. We have 7,000+ roll over minutes because all that gets through are text messages. We switched phones 2ce, that didn't help, nor did changing out the sim cards. I've actually ebayed back to an old Nokia model I had, which has improved my reception but only marginally. I can't wait until next December when the contract is up, I'm SO switching.
