Not currently. I like the business but my boss is a grouchy old dyke.
Overall, I'd say I'm about 5 for 6 on the subject of bad bosses.

Yes. He works harder than anyone else in the office, and he's very respectful of me. I'm not micro managed, I'm trusted to get my work done and I'm not made to feel bad when my workload is slow, so long as I spring into action when there are things to be done. Better work comes from happy workers.

once, i went to my boss to plead for some extra help because we were so backed up with work the whole department was going mad, and 20 minutes later he told a meeting full of managers that my department had nothing to do so if they had any work they needed done to give it to me cause i wasnt busy.....i hope the italy-bound plane he is on right now crashes into a mountain.

i'm having my first experience being a boss and i'm very uncomfortable with it.. i totally over identify with the employees and imagine how they might see me...
i remind myself, not everyone's gonna like me, fuck!

Let's face it... about 98% of bosses are assholes. Very rarely will you come across a boss that is considered cool.
I'd rather deal with someone who is incompetent than hostile and conflictive towards the employees.

i guess i hit the lotto then
my first real job, at the community college, my boss was nothing but extremely nice towards not only me and everyone else. in fact its been 7 years since i started there, and 4 years since i have worked there, and i still get invites to the xmas party and i still pitch in 20 for her xmas gift
my second job is a direct result from my first boss. she was tired of seeing her bosses play around with my employment status. literally one week i would be considered full time, and the next part time, and once a month they would decide if they really needed me at all. my boss gave me the phone number and email address to for her sister whos company she worked at was looking to hire.
my current boss is awesome. shes younger than me but she really has her shit together. you may not think she knows all the little things that are going on, but she does. she apologizes before she brings up any fuckups our department has done (due mostly to the one kid quitting and for his final 3 weeks not doing diddly squat)
unless you have been a boss, you have no idea why people can be dicks on the job. sometimes its cause the employees take a friendship and try to parlay it into i dont have to do work, im friends with the boss. so instead of being friends with just one, you cant be friends with any
