I just played through the first one on ps1. I can't believe that game is about 10 years old. The graphics were difficult to look at at first, but considering the time, they're actually pretty good. Obviously, sneaking/stealth games are a lot more in depth now, but the gameplay on the original MGS is still entertaining. Also, the story is good, and the voice acting is excellent - a rarity for that time. Some cheesy lines, though. I was surprised at how well I remembered this game. It's still pretty much timeless. I love the ending..."Choose life, Snake! Liiiiive!"
I'll be starting Sons of Liberty soon enough. I really don't remember that game at all, and I'm pretty sure I only played through it once. If I remember correctly, isn't Snake Eater actually a prequel to the original MGS? I remember there was a relaly interesting twist at the end of MGS2, but I don't know what it was exactly (don't spoil )

I'm stuck on The End mission in 3, played it a couple times and then haven't picked it up in about a month

What's that famous physics story about some discovery a dude made with a crown in his bathtub or some shit? I don't remember exactly, but the moral is basically that it helps to take time away from shit. I actually find this to be very good advice, and as lame as it sounds, it's translated to video games with me a number of times.
As we all know, video games can be the most frustrating things in the universe. There have been so many times where I'll make dozens of attempts to beat some part in a game and be so fed up with failure that I just give up. I'll walk away from it for weeks, sometimes months, and when I finally get back to it, I'll beat it in a couple tries.

I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-Kiri Rock. I need scissors! 61!

Actually, I am in really bad shape financially. I pay money to my ex-wife as part of our divorce settlement, among other bills... I just had no choice but to make you pay for lunch the other day. I'm really sorry.

Raiden something happened to me last Thursday when I was driving home. I had a couple of miles to go - I looked up and saw a glowing orange object in the sky, to the east! It was moving very irregularly... suddenly there was intense light all around me - and when I came to, I was home. What do you think happened to me?
