On a rattlesnake speedway in the Utah Desert I pick up my money and head back into town Driving across the Waynesboro County Line I've got the radio on and I'm just killing time
Working all day in my daddy's garage Driving all night chasing some mirage Pretty soon, little girl, I'm gonna take charge
Well the dogs on Main Street howl cause they understand If I could take one moment into my hands Mister I ain't a boy, no I'm a man And I believe in a promised land
I've done my best to live the right way I get up in the morning and go to work each day But your eyes go blind and your blood runs cold Sometimes I feel so weak I just wanna explode
Explode, and tear this whole town apart Take a knife and cut this pain from my heart Pretty soon, I'll be itching for something to start
Well the dogs on Main Street howl, cause they understand If I could take one moment into my hands Mister I ain't a boy, no I'm a man And I believe in a promised land
There's a dark cloud rising on the desert floor I've packed my bags and I'm headed straight through the storm It's gonna be a twister that'll blow everything down That ain't got the faith to stand its ground
Blow away, the dreams that tear you apart Blow away, the dreams that break your heart Blow away, the lies that leave you nothing but lost and broken hearted
Well the dogs on Main Street howl, cause they understand If I could take one moment into my hands Mister I ain't a boy, no I'm a man And I believe in a promised land

to change the road you're on?
Of course! If you aren't happy with your current situation, take every step necessary to change it. I'm not sure what kind of change you are looking for (career, relationship, etc), but it's never too late. Dont accept things for being the way they are and dont get bogged down with the difficulties that may come along with change. I would suggest reading a fun and simple little book titled "Who Moved My Cheese?". It is a neat story that can be applied to virtually every person's situation. Good luck!

Three months ago I was wallowing in my own pathetic depression over failing out of school, and tonight I led a group of adorable kids through the Trail of Lights and felt like a father. It's very possible.
