Well, I can start this thread now that the season's over.

Here's the draft order (if I calculated correctly):

1 DOLPHINS 1 0.533
2 RAMS 3 0.513
+3 FALCONS 4
+4 RAIDERS 4
+5 CHIEFS 4
6 JETS 4
7 49ERS 5 0.467
8 RAVENS 5 0.517
9 BENGALS 7 0.458
10 SAINTS 7 0.475
11 BILLS 7 0.508
12 BRONCOS 7 0.525
13 PANTHERS 7 0.533
14 LIONS 7 0.542
15 BEARS 7 0.554
16 CARDINALS 8 0.438
17 VIKINGS 8 0.500
18 TEXANS 8 0.521
19 EAGLES 8 0.575
*20 BUCCANEERS 9 0.467
*21 REDSKINS 9 0.563
*22 SEAHAWKS 10 0.404
*23 BROWNS 10 0.425
*24 STEELERS 10 0.442
*25 TITANS 10 0.500
*26 GIANTS 10 0.513
*27 CHARGERS 11 0.500
*28 JAGUARS 11 0.517
*29 PACKERS 13 0.471
*30 COWBOYS 13 0.492
*31 COLTS 13 0.508
*32 PATRIOTS 16 0.467

+position dependent on coin flip
*position dependent on playoffs.

Nice that the Chiefs and Raiders are #3 and #4. As long as neither of them get Darren McFadden, I'll be happy. (EDIT: obviously this line no longer makes sense.)

Pats get the 7th overall from the 49ers; Cowboys currently have #23 and #30. I feel your pain on the Cleveland pick, Dallas fans, after the Redskins disappointed Broncos fans in a similar way a couple years ago.

There will only be 31 first-round picks this year. :x

Browns aren't in the playoffs.

Is D-Mc the consensus top player in the class?

They aren't, but in the unlikely event that the Bucs, Redskins, or Seahawks win the NFC, the Browns would still move up a spot.

I'd say either him or Jake Long, but opinions could vary four months from now. You could throw Glenn Dorsey or Matt Ryan in the mix also.

Good call on the Browns, I didn't think that pick could move.

I really don't think Matt Ryan shold be a first-rounder, he could go either way as a pro and you should take someone who's closer to being a sure thing with your first pick.

Something else I thought of with this Chiefs/Raiders thing is the presence of Chris Long. The Chiefs have Jared Allen upcoming as a free agent, and indications are they're going to franchise him. But what if instead they let Allen walk and draft Long? That would piss off the Raider fans mightily. :haha:

I think I fucked up on the 4-12 teams.

Oh well, I guess Al Davis can keep in line with the Long tradition without fear from the Chiefs. :|

Bullshit, you have to be kidding me. This is a great draft.

Glen Dorsey is probably the best DT to come out of the draft in 10 years at least. He's going to be freaking awesome. He'll take on two blockers stuff the run and rush the QB from the undertackle if they ask him. He's a bigger stronger faster Amobi Okoye and go check out what he did for Mario Williams this year.... yeah Jason Taylor would go nuts... not to mention he frees up the MLB to make plays.

Two...Maybe Jake Long... imposing Tackle, you could put him at Right Tackle and the big man from OSU will be back next season on the left I'd imagine. They already have Stephen Jackson. I think the rams were simply decimated by injuries this year... they aren't as bad as they seemed really (maybe dump haslet geez). Honestly they could trade the 2 if someone wants to jump up and grab DMC. They would benifit greatly though from a Dan Conor or James Laurinitis at MLB.

Three... DMC!!

Dwayne Robertson was also the best DT in the last 10 years when he came out too.

Great players don't typically come out of schools like Kentucky with absolutely no football pedigree, so there had to be some issues from the get go. Also it could be that the Jets simply have other issues not unrelated to poor DL coaching or poor DL play from other positions. He's a pretty good run stuffer is he not?

Agreed--get him in the NFC at all costs.

Do you think the Falcons would pass on a QB at #3, though?

yes its a great draft for linemen, which the rams need OL help desperately. Long looks like the choice.

Outside of the fact he essentially sweats crisco on his hands, DMC is Amazing and he's a reason for me to go get my season tickets. I would not be upset if they take Matt Ryan because I think he is the best nfl QB in the draft but they don't need to make that move at 3 and Mcfadden will certainly be rated higher (don't screw up the LdT pick twice . I also would not be shocked if they drafted a left tackle. The best thing about the falcons for a new GM is the instant ability to make a difference. They can virtually take RB, LT, QB and would make a difference. Some people will hate it, some people will love it. I'm personally hoping Ryan sucks in the offseason and they can take DMC and then either trade up and get Ryan with the 2 seconds or take him in the second get a starting LT (Barry Richardson, Clemson or Ryan Clady, BSU) and draft the best MLB available subsequently after that safeties and line depth.

Jake Long or Chris Long?

There is a reasonable shot at either really. Either way there is still a crap ton of talent available that we won't really talk about for a month or two. You'll get some good players no doubt. I honestly thought the Jets had some of the better drafts the last two years they just haven't put it toegther yet, and I don't get why they let Pete Kendall go.

I cant see the first 5 teams especially the Fins or Jets skipping him. Long and Dorsey will be gone within the first 3 picks

Good thought on the school pedigree. He has been ok. But never dominant.

i still dont know about picking an o-tackle #1, or even that high at all..

orlando pace and jon odgen worked out, and help lead their team to superbowls..but it seems to me in recent memory all the other ones seem to be busts..well, that dude from cleveland looks good so far too

besides, the fins need much more help on the d line than the o line..you figure put dorsey in there and a healthy zach t back..miami's d imporves big time

still a part of me reallyy wants d mcfadden
