damn! i got turned down for another job today. i felt i had this sure but apparently, my translation skills are not good enough for these guys, although all my english teachers had told me that i have a very good knowledge of the language.
they made me a test, it was really easy, too easy to be true, and i think i had very few mistakes [about 2 or 3 if much], so i don't know how they say i didn't reach the B+
yeah, i know i have some trouble with conversational, but still, it wasn't even part of the test.
i just feel terrible because i've been looking for a job for nearly two years and i get turned down from all of them...i still dunno why, it's not i don't have a degree [i'm a journalist] or that i show up all messy and late to the interviews. *sigh*
if i'm employed now it's because my uncle is friend of the boss here, so he asked him for a little favor for me, if not i'd still be desperately looking for a job, or making my way through the desert and into the US, illegally, of course.

you should try reading a lot of books in English to work on improving your language skills. I found that over the years my vocabulary has grown considerably due to reading so much. And getting a good job isn't easy anywhere from what I can tell- maybe ask about why you're not given a job position you interview for- sometimes that can give you some insight about what a person is looking for when they want to hire someone new.

"networking" is perhaps one of the worst things that humanity has invented

Why? Because your network sucks?
Personally, I think networking is great. It saved me quite a bit of trouble, that's for sure...

And do I really care what you think sucks?
