I think we are all excited by the announcement that they are going through the vaults and releasing shows from past tours. How many shows do you think they will release? 10? 25? 50? I'm thinking they won't really go hog wild and release a lot. Probably a few just to whet our appitite and, perhaps, see what the market for them would be. 10-15 maybe?
If they give us only the mp3 option I guess 1-3 shows per month would be more than makeable. Personally I would prefer an option to buy actual CD's (like DMB f.e.), maybe one gig every 3 months or so would be great. And once a year, a DVD of an old gig!
where is this "announcement" found? i wasn't aware of this. i hope it's true cause that would be awesome.
its in the fan club mailing - in the paragraph about the tenclub download site for this tour. they say they will also be 'opening up the vaults' before the end of the year...

It ain't like they owe us anything, in terms of show downloads. But don't get everyone all excited, and then let 'em down. PJ + Vault show downloads =

Yeah, totally.
I think I'd be less disappointed if nothing had ever been released at all...but to make the big "old shows now here!" song and dance and then let 'em disappear without a word, well it kinda stings.
I just hope they're not gone for good but just delayed while they think of a better way to distribute 'em.
I went to try and re-download and pay for the 11/30/1993 Vegas show again that they sold, due to the fact that I lost my copy . Why are they not posting it on the PJ Ten Club official boots anymore? Or am I missing something? They also state that the 2005/2006 boots are no longer available. Is this why you see them torrrented everywhere? And if so, is 11/30/1993 available anywhere? I think I accidentally deleted it during my PC move...

Yeah, they removed all the official boots from the website about a year ago or so. I'm sure if you search around you'll find either a torrent or direct download of the show from a blog (there may also be some download threads on the dreaded Message Pit that might help).
I have no idea why they removed the downloadable boots, it seems like quite an odd decision unless they have something else up their sleeves (I'm waiting...); what possible reason is there for them not to leave them up indefinitely?
I mean, I obviously know they're all out there via other means which suits most fans better however it still confuses me as to why they'd do that when they could've left them up to make a small bit of ongoing cash from the occasional download.
