1.) Commercialism @ Christmas - I like the idea of having a vacation day to give gifts to those I care about more than the idea of celebrating baby Jesus' birth.
2.) Home improvement shows - those Design Rivals guys are good.
3.) Fox News chicks... you know you'd hit it.
4.) riced-out cars
5.) people @ work who are just coasting for a year or two before they retire - we should all be so lucky.

people who throw money into "performance" parts and cosmetic mods for entry-level commuter cars and among the dumbest people on earth. i know a guy who owns a 10 year old civic that has $50,000 worth of parts in it. he readily admits that he could have bought his dream car (a BMW of some description) for the amount he's sunk into it. he can't even drive it for half the year because there is so much extra fiberglass along the bottom that if he were to hit a piece of ice it would tear it to shreds. So this guy has to rely on other people to drive him around all winter.
That's not to say that all mods are inherently evil. I see nothing wrong with a nice tint job on a sporty car, or even a tasteful set of aftermarket rims, but mods without function (ie, giant fins, noisy exhausts and air intakes that go nowhere) are fucking retarded.
There's actually a guy around here with a car that says ICEMAN real big on it. Always thought that was corny as hell. Pretty sure it has a loud muffler too.

i've always found it kind of funny that people pay good money to make their exhaust sound like it's broken. why not just punch a hole in the muffler and save yourself a couple hundred bucks?

i never got challenged, but when i used to own a sporty car i would always have those douchebags driving aggressive around me trying to coax me into an impromptu street race. now that i drive a Focus nobody even gives me a second look
