INTO THE WILD ON VINYL01.09.08
Monkeywrench and Vinyl Films Records is proud to announce the release of the limited vinyl version of the soundtrack to the film Into The Wild. The release will be celebrated with an exclusive Ten Club pre-sale beginning January 14th at 10am Pacific.
Initially released digitally and in compact disc format, Into The Wild has been recorded on to high-grade audiophile vinyl. The vinyl release includes an extended version of the album track "The Wolf", plus a bonus 7-inch single with both studio and live versions of the track "No More", a 28-page full color booklet with lyrics and exclusive liner notes by Director Sean Penn. This very special and very limited vinyl release will be available only at pearljam.com beginning January 14th, for $20 USD plus shipping, while supplies last.
Into The Wild vinyl will be released in stores on January 29th.

Oh my God! This is fantastic. If John Abercrombie hadn't released an album in 2006, this would have been my favorite album of the year. The only thing that it was missing was the full version of THE WOLF. This is going to sound incredible on vinyl.

oh fuck! can't they go on hiatus so I can try to save some money?!
because not only is it $20+shipping.. but if I have that I'll have to finally get a decent turntable (the one I got is utter shit, no bass! haven't even bothered listening to the Xmas single on it!)

Sounds like you need a decent amplifier, not a new turntable. Get a separate amplifier that that has a few separate inputs in it. You can hook up your CD player, MP3 player and turntable into different inputs. You can EQ everything you play separately for the best sound. A decent amp will cost a few quid, but it'll be dough well spent.

I've got a good Yamaha AV amplifier, no problem playing anything through it, from DVDs to Xbox to VCR to MP3s .. it's the turntable!

It could be both. The record player maybe doesn't have a pre amp and the receiver probably doesn't have a phono in for this kind of turntables. Anyway a bad/old record player damages records and we all now new ones ain't cheep

well, there's no Phono in..but I have neither money nor space to get an Audio Amp...hell, if I had spare cash on those things, I'd spend it first on some good Stereo speakers (the AV ones are ok, but for music, it's not the best, got to rely too much on the Subwoofer)

Most record players have a pre-amp so you're not gona need it if you get a new one anyway.
