Anyone happen to be watching this on Bravo?
It's a great story about Ewan McGregor and his best friend's trip around the world on their motorcycles. It's very adventurous and a welcome addition to reality TV. It's not like the usual lame "constructed" reality shows.
two friend on two bikes in Mongolia....just fun to watch
plus Ewan is a pretty smart dude and has some interesting insights and comments
anyway, check it out, you can DL the episodes via Bit Torrent now and catch up

Long Way Down is kind of crap by comparison with Long Way Round. At least with LWR you got to see some of the countryside they passed through. With LWD they had a much tighter schedule, they flew through most of the countries, so most of it is shots of them on bikes, bitching about the fact that they can't stop and 'experience' the country. It's still a pretty cool programme though, and I agree that it's an excellent concept for reality TV. McGregor and Boorman are a joy to watch too, they're just two normal blokes, no airs or graces, and they obviously love what they're doing. Good shows.

I agree, I was a bit disappointed by LWD, as you said due to the schedule it was rushed.
It is still better than most of the shit that's on tv at the moment though!
I'd love them to do another one, but I can't see it happening, the addition of Eve seemed to put a strain on Ewan and Charley's friendship

I don't understand why they put themselves under so much pressure though. Would it not have made more sense to just take an extra week or ten days so that they could see the things they wanted to see? From what I've seen of the show I would have thought they've quite a lot of creative control, so why did they put themselves under that time limit and spend the ENTIRE programme bitching and whining? Celebrities...I don't get them.
Yeah it was weird to see the pair of them rowing...that's what they get for putting hoes before bros!! And poor old Charlie and his wheelies...
