I know exactly what you mean. I really like the bleu cheese at BW3's. I found that Kraft's bleu cheese dressing is pretty much spot on...I'd try that if I were you.

theres a deli near my work that has awesome bleu cheese, and they SWEAR its made by Ken's. and when I buy Kens in the store is tastes like shit

thye are nice enough to let me buy a jug of their good stuff from them. but even there when i order a sandwich with bleu cheese they have the good stuff and then sometimes they have some thats crap and ruins the sandwich. its very strange

i was about to say what koufax said - most restaurants use Ken's - they buy the bulk size like igotbugs said...

it could be the temperature of it too, i think when you get it at a restaurant or delivered with pizza, it's warmed up a bit, which i like better than when it's cold coming out of the fridge at home

heres the thing:

this place, the Pickle Barrell. I can tell immediately when I get the good stuff and the shitty stuff. the good stuff is white, and the bad stuff is a yellowish congeled goo. the lady has swore to me 10 times its the same stuff, from the same delivery with the same label. i tell her its impossible and even showed her the difference. she didnt know what to say.

at least i know know to ask them to give me a new side of bleu cheese when they give me the shit

yellow dressing = old & should be in the garbage.

:barfs:

litehouse makes great bleu cheese; marie's changed their recipe several years ago & totally fucked it up. regardless - bleu cheese dressing has to be FRESH to be good.

But if I get wings, I'm going to have to get beer. I don't know if I want to spend all that money on food. Hmmm...

people who haven't been to Buffalo: you don't know wings. Buffalo Wild Wings aren't real wings, either.
