by far? What it does to your eyeballs. I could probably work off 3-4 hours of sleep everyday, if not for the feeling of my eyes about to fall out of their sockets.

Agreed. I could get my eyes to OPEN this morning, I got dressed and brushed my teeth with them still closed. It feels like the inside of my lids are lined with sandpaper. I can wait until tomorrow morning, just because I don't have to wake up until 1 if I don't want to. This sucks.

I have never understood this and I hope I never will. When I lay down around 10.30-11, I fall asleep. Easy. And I never wake up during the night, never before my alarm clock says it's time to get up.

There has been about a year where I just wouldn't go to sleep. It's probably not that I couldn't get sleep, it's just that I didn't see the point of sleeping. But that was a bad year.

Yeah, I know that feeling too. Sleep has been an issue for me, in one way or another, for like 6 or 7 years now.

I can function very well with 4-5 hours per night. When it comes down to one or two, my head starts to fuck up. Like stated, the eyes are the worst part. Also the constant dizzyness, and the constant feeling of sickness. Sleep is overrated, but much needed.

hahaha, poor g_v, you're going to have a difficult time in the working world with ideas like this, the world isn't set up for finding jobs that actually accommodate your schedule or are convenient for you.

I think the ideal amount of sleep for an adult is probably about 7 hours per night.
With me, I can sleep just fine if I don't take a nap during the day, but if I do take a nap (or drink too much caffeine), I have a hard time sleeping for a few hours in the middle of the night.

That's what I was thinking. I'd be swell if I could just tell my boss I'm not coming in before 11 anymore. lol

My problem is always the FALLING asleep. Once I'm there, I'm golden. I like to get about 7 hours. I'm fine and functional on 5 or 6, and on the weekends I can sleep straight through 10 or 11 hours without waking up. My favorite thing is waking up around 6:30/7, getting up to pee, finding a cat or two to cuddle with, then passing back out until 10 or 11. Mmmmm.

I'm the same way. Well, was I guess for the most part. Having a kid kinda threw a bit of a wrench into the works but I'm back to my regular sleeping ways now for the most part.

I very rarely fall asleep before midnight no matter how early I go to bed. Staying up much past midnight is tough too unless I nap hard during the day. Typically I wake up on my own around 7am. I used to sleep well through the night but I moved into a new house six weeks ago and have slept much more lightly overall, frequently waking up briefly a few times a night. Same mattress. Five hours is the minimum I can function normally; less and I drag all day. Interestingly if I get exactly six hours I'm the same way. Oh, and I don't sleep well my first night in a hotel.
