Maybe I'm doing a bad job with serching the internet, but I can't find a decent Tom Petty discography anywhere. Wiki and the offical website aren't even close to being good.
Basically, I'm trying to do some research--to put together a rarities disc that collects all the b-sides/non-album tracks. I have the 'Playback' box set, regular albums, and the new DVD box set --so the emphasis would be 'Wildflowers' and up. HOWEVER, if the boxset missed anything, I'd be very interested in that, too.
Suggested sites?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!!!

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers are pretty good. One of the better popular American rock bands of the 80's. Catchy, easy to listen to, sing a long with and remember tunes. Kinda reminds me of Neil Young and Bob Dylan.
I have the Greatest Hits CD, and that's good enough for me.

Watched a three hour long documentary last night, Petty doing most of the storytelling along with the band. It was interesting. Didn't know anything about this band other than the hits. His independent spiriti and attitude towards his output and the business chimes along nicely with PJ's(to a point.) Knew it was a matter of time before we got a headshot of Eddie and true enough there's some footage towards the end. Gonna check these guys out, their story was paint by numbers rags to riches but he did it with a class of his own i think, and he never really seems to have fucked up too much.

It kind of bums me out when people lump Tom Petty in with artists like John Cougar Mellencamp or Bob Seger. He's much better than that. He was in the Traveling Wilburys for fuck's sake.
