The hard drive on my computer crashed and had to be completely reformatted. Therefore, I lost all of my songs. Is there any way to transfer all of the songs off of my ipod onto my reformatted computer? Thanks!

you need to use a program to do this. Sharepod has worked for me in the past.

You can not go from your ipod to itunes.

Say someone wants to to take music that is on their ipod and put it on my computer by hooking up their ipod to my computer, well, they wouldn't be able to.

if your ipod is in disk mode, just click add folder to library and select your ipod. the songs are all labeled with a combination with letters and numbers, but i am told the ID3 tags are intact and will correct when you play each song
