What do we think of Federer? I just put $200 on him at $1.72 to win it all, I think his odds were made longer by the fact he hasn't played this year and had the gastro bug last week....but i'm positive he's got the goods to do it.

And what do we think of the blue courts? I think they're an awful eyesore.

I got him at 1.70 about a week ago, he's normally about 1.50, so i couldn't help myself. I've layed (to lose) Roddick at 20, and I'll continue to lay him throughout the tournament, I do it every Aus, Wimbledon and US, it's the easiest money you will ever make.

I don't care for the blue courts either, heading down there tomorrow so it will be interesting to see if there better in person.

I think my all-time record on blue courts is like 0-8 or something. That might be Federer's downfall right there.

On the other hand, he is a robot, so it might not matter. He's got a ridiculous draw though. If there was ever a GS other than the French that he wasn't going to win, this seems like the most likely bet in the last couple years.

I hear people saying this. Who is part of the ridiculous draw? I take it that means Roddick, Djokovic etc?

Djokovic, Hewitt, Ferrer, with a few dark horses that, if they really turn it on can give a feebled Federer trouble like Safin, Baghdadis, and Nalbandian.

"Tough" bracket is a relative term when Federer is concerned, but everybody is looking for the next guy to dethrone the king.

Yeah I was going to say that in regards to being tough. But even for a champion like him, a large string of close matches can take their toll....I sure hope they don't.

I see Djokovic being a problem, he looked smooth in his first round. Ferrer went out big time to an unseeded Frenchman in New Zealand last week so i'd struggle to back him and Hewitt...well I wouldn't bother there either.

Safin did it in 2005 so he's capable and man oh man he hit the ball hard yesterday. Maybe him again? I'd be dead set on the winner coming from the left side of the draw, I don't think Nadal has the game nor does the court suit him, and Roddick doesn't seem consistent enough to win right through.

So Henin struggled a little. As long as she hits top gear by the time the big games come around, I'm not worried. I'm up for another Belgian grand slam win! 8)

(since Clijsters abandoned, this is the only sports where Flemish and Walloons are united behind Henin)

When you have $200 on Fed, not so much. Actually I lie, it was just great sporting viewing. Tipsylala as he was dubbed (I forget the name) was amazing, he just kept delivering on big points.

Yeah, i've got cash on Fed also but i love watching great tennis. Federer was so humble after the game he was just happy to be is such a great game.

Made some good cash on Roddick losing last week, and I've backed Djokovic in straight tonight against Hewitt it's 2.40 on Betfair at the moment which great odds.

He sure did, maybe a few nerves when Hewitt broke in both of the first two, though.

Wow, Sharapova wasn't even that impressive to blow away Henin... :(

Cheers, too bad I gave most of it back tonight on Henin.

Heh, Hewitt's match against Baghdatis went until 4:33am. The car park closed for the night at 2am, and the first tram runs at 5:30am.

I like the blue courts, the only time i bet on Federer was the French (you dickhead) never again will i put money against Nadal on clay.

I hope Jancovic beats Sharapova, I don't like her or her dad at all.

I heard this from someone else too, but Maria is pissing it in.

Not surprising, she is playing some of her best tennis, you could see that when she beat Angus's cousin Justine Henin
