anyone here have experience with these? i bought one for my new guild -- the skb clip 6, which is basically a sponge -- and i'm a bit unsure of how often i need to rewet the sponge. the relative humidity in my guitar case is between 30-35

wow, are you living in extreme temperatures? i've heard of these but nobdy i know uses them really.
i also should say we have abn ancient old Guild here & they dry out beautifully..i do love ramshackle old stuff though & maybe a peeling varnish, dark dark brown discolouration isnt your thing, but it sounds great...

It's a waste. I've said it already, the small imperfections and warps in a guitar give it a character and unique tone that are infinitely preferable to some pristine, unlived-in instrument. I have never played humidity/temp control with my Martin, and it sounds better today than it ever did before.

Hey cb, you shoud look for a carbon fiber neck guitar. They are weather proof.

well i put it in the guild sunday and haven't played it since. the link mary malice posted said every five to seven days ... so i'll probably just rewet it every weekend.
