Girl 'films herself trying to murder parents'
Wednesday Jan 30 11:00 AEDT
By ninemsn staff

A 15-year-old girl filmed herself trying to murder her parents in the family living room, a court has heard.

The girl — who is now 16 and cannot be named for legal reasons — faced court in Cambridge, England, charged with the attempted murder of her parents on February 24 last year, the Daily Mail reports.

She allegedly tried to strangle her mother with a cord as she sat at a computer, and moved to stab her father with scissors when he attempted to intervene.

The girl pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder and attempting to wound her father.

In the video, the girl is first seen sitting if front of the camera wearing a nightgown and discussing her plot to kill her mother and father.

The footage then shifts downstairs to the living room, where the girl's mother sits at a desk in front of a computer apparently unaware of her daughter's plan.

The girl slowly approaches her mother with a length of cord, which she loops around the older woman's neck and begins to pull tight.

Her mother is heard saying, "What are you doing? That is not very funny." The girl replies: "It is not meant to be funny."

The mother then says "You're strangling me" and calls for help from her husband, who is sitting nearby watching a game of rugby on the television.

The father quickly enters the frame, and following a sudden movement he screams: "You tried to stab me! You tried to stab me!"

Prosecutor John Farmer described the girl as "highly intelligent" and said the only happy outcome of the incident was that she had been unsuccessful.

"It's a pretty cold-blooded measured plan," Mr Farmer told the court.

"She had worked out if two people are in the room, there can be difficulties, so she worked out a sequence of strangling her mother which actually would lure out her father, which is what happened."

The trial is continuing.

The video of this has to be out there somewhere.

Honestly, her plan doesn't seem that smart. Lure out her father? That's clever!!!

That would have been the better approach as she doesn't sound very strong, considering her mom was still chatting whilst being strangled.

see, at least this girl hired help, albeit stupid help:

Teenage girl suspected of paying to have mother killed
Police suspect that a 16-year-old Helsinki girl paid a 19-year-old man to kill her mother.
On January 16th, a young man rang the doorbell of the 40-year-old woman. He said that he wanted to see the woman's daughter, and was let in.
A moment later the woman felt a strong blow to the back of her head and ran to the balcony of her apartment. She managed to close the door behind her and call for help. Through the balcony window she could see that there was another man in the apartment as well.
One of the men had shot the woman with a crossbow - the kind that is used to shoot small game, police say.
"Fortunately the arrow hit a hard spot - the back of the woman's head - and only left a bloody wound", said Juha Rautaheimo of the Helsinki police.
According to the police the men had intended to knock the woman unconscious and kill her later in some other way.
A police officer responding to the call stopped a man near the apartment who had a crossbow in his bag. A crossbow arrow was found on the floor of the woman's apartment.

According to Rautaheimo, the crime had been planned for about two weeks. Police have remanded four men and one woman suspected of participation or complicity in an attempted murder.
Police say that the 16-year-old daughter had promised the 19-year-old man a cash payment for the killing. The daughter did not live with the mother at the time of the attack.
The man had persuaded two 20-year-old friends to join him. The crime was planned at the Espoo home of a fourth man, who now faces charges of aiding and abetting.
The suspects, all native-born Finns, do not have any prior criminal records.
Rautaheimo says that the case is unique in Finnish criminal history, in light of the young age of the daughter.
The documents linked with the case have been sealed for the protection of the victim. The investigation continues, and the deadline for pressing final charges is April 1st.

I have this theory about tame generations and wild ones. It's this: the wild ones are the children of the previous wild ones :). So, after my generation, the last wild one, it's now time for our children. If I'd been in time to get children, they would have been around 16 now. That makes perfect sense  8) .

groetjes,
Mirella :)

really this girl should have lured her dad to a secret lair of some kind, not the living room.
