My cheap go-to is Moosehead. My favorites are Sierra Nevada or Stella Artois. When I used to go to bars, I drank a lot of Hefe-Weisens, preferably Franziskaner (sp?).

Out of the beer I can regularly get here in NL? Stella, Smithwick's or Holsten.

That said, my favourite beer PERIOD is probably Steam Whistle.

Awwwh, fuck, it's been so long since I've had a Murphy's. Yum.

I was schooled over last summer as well. On a golf outing, my dad told me to try the Murphy's on tap, rather than the Guinness.

He said it's what the land owner drinks.

My dad introduced me to "Smiddick's" a few weeks ago, and that is very unique brew. Unlike anything I've ever had before. I thought it tasted like a half Harp, half Bass Ale (which I'm sure will be insulting to any Irishmen familiar with the stuff), but in a good way.

Boulevard Wheat or Sunshine Wheat.
