I'm still not so sure how good a year it will be by his standards. I mean it will be a great year, but there's still enuff bad stuff going on in his game for him not to win majors (well all of them)

Nothing new under the sun for Woods. He's better at golf than Federer is at tennis. He's better at golf, in fact, than anyone has been at any sport, save Bradman.

Wow. Birdied 5 of his last 7 holes to win in Dubai. This is going to be one hell of a year.
steroids!
ha ha. Then you go back and watch the 97 masters...geez. The guy is just amazing. I hope he wins every event this year or the next 10 years.
that would be a disaster for the game.
I actually don't think so. If it were Nick Faldo or some other great yet boring as fuck player we were talking about, I might agree that teh lack of competition would kill the sport. But this is Tiger Woods, who has done more for the exposure of the game than anyone ever.
Pro golf prospers when there is a dominant personality winning a lot like Jack or Arnie or Tiger. The sport suffers when there's more parity.

Totally agree with PD's post. Tiger is a perfect ambassador for the game, and him winning everyone would only make others have to lift their standards to reach him.
I don't think he'll win all four majors this year, although of course he's more than capable and will start as overwhelming favourite in all of em. I guarantee he'll win the US at Torrey Pines, I like him at the British (not sure where it is), PGA the same but the Masters just doesn't fill me with assurity for some reason. If he does win all four, I can't think of a bigger sporting achievement in history.
Speaking of which, the likes of that complete fuckin moron Sabbatini and now I see Ian Poulter (who is merely famous for dressing in the dark) need to keep their mouth shut about making predictions to beat Tiger. Why give him more motivation? We've gathered by now that he thrives under pressure, the best you can hope for is keep quiet and hope he lacks the killer instinct when your game is on.

honestly, I'd like to see 3 or 4 guys rise up and compete with Tiger. I generally want tiger to be close enough to do something every sunday of a major and I really like seeing the great duels.
That's what I want. Sunday major drama at any tournament. But I love it when It's between two or three guys especially when they are at the peak of thier game on the back nine of the Masters. I personally do not believe there is a better place to watch golf and when the best are in it it dosen't get any better.
Man I can't wait for April.
I usually avoid the Tiger crowds but if there's anyone I want to see playing at high levels it's him....mostly when there is competition that can match him shot for shot. Give me a good playoff sometime soon like the ones Faldo played in the early 90's.
