Constantines Reveal New Album Details

Kensington Heights: It's not just the name of the subdivision daddy's moving into with that nice lady he met at the grocery store. It's also the new album from Canada's Constantines. Their new label Arts & Crafts will issue the disc April 15 in the band's homeland, and it'll make its way to the States April 29.

Those of you lucky enough to have nabbed a copy of last month's limited edition "Easy Money" 7" are already privy to the disc's leadoff track.

The band aren't exactly lighting up the live circuit at the moment, though they've got a couple dates lined up for March. The first is a stop at New York's Mercury Lounge, and the second is an appearance down at South by Southwest.

Release Date: January 15, 2008
Arts & Crafts is set to release the first single from Toronto-based rock group, Constantines. "Hard Feelings" will be available January 15, 2008 as a limited edition 7" vinyl. The track, taken from Constantines' forthcoming album (album title TBA), along with the track "Easy Money," marks the bands first ever 7" release. Constantines' music, as well as their thundering and inspired live shows, have continually earned the band a loyal following from both music writers and music fans alike, drawing comparisons to The Clash, Bruce Springsteen, Fugazi and Nick Cave. The band has toured extensively throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe since the release of their Juno nominated self-titled debut album in 2001, and have shared the stage with the likes of Foo Fighters, The Weakerthans, The Hold Steady, and Guided by Voices, to name a few. Constantines are currently at home in Toronto, putting the finishing touches on their fourth studio album (follow up to 2003's Shine A Light and 2005's Tournament of Hearts) due for release in April 2008 on Arts & Crafts.

RM, you fucking suck. How has there not been a post in this thread since September? I guess I'm partially to fault. Damn it. The Constantines are incredible.

Everybody listen to every song in that myspace link. the new ones are great, "Hard Feelings" is this jagged edged rocker while
"Easy Money" is a big lumbering beast of a song.

this is their second best record. this caused me to relisten to Shine A Light for the first time in a while and that record is pretty unstoppable.

Listening to this right now! I have Shine a Light and a few songs on that album are excellent. Although overall I still only think it to be good. This new album is definitely better I think.
