So, I'm finishing up my undergrad in Literature here at Florida State University. This seems pretty straightforward but last semester I took part in the study abroad program and I studied Literature in London. It blew my mind and opened my eyes. And as a result while I was in Europe I made up my mind that I had to go to a school in the Pacific Northwest for grad school. I've always had a voice or an inkling that drew me to that area, and after Europe it became a hell of a lot louder and now it's looking like I have a chance to head in that direction.
I want to study in or near Seattle. And the one place that fits my two needs, one being a Literature MA program and the other being a school in or near Seattle, is the Univeristy of Washington. The question: anyone have some information on the city or University that I should take note of?
That was alot more long winded then I wanted it to be.

There are a couple of threads in GD about people taking trips to Seattle. It's about vacation plans, but there might be somethings of use to you.

It's a beautiful campus, in a great area, I worked there for 10 years at the bookstore. I have been gone a while but they seem to have a good reputation in a number of departments. And there are some good people living around here. I've lived here forever now, I could probably help you somehow. PM if there's anything you have specific questions about- not so much about the college itself, but the area, or Seattle in general, etc.
