Anyone seen this? Documentary from last year about the rivalry between the two greatest Donkey Kong players in history. One is an extraordinarily talented family man who plays in his free time, the other is an egotistical, greedy douchebag who continues to capitalize on his success 25 years after he set the initial record. Quite possibly one of the best docs in recent memory.

yeah, i worked at the film festival where it premiered... it's really good. the music cue's and everything are really cliched and the editing has some weak moments. i think they are reediting it. it got picked up for a documentary deal, and also to make a scripted movie out of the story. i got a screener DVD too

It's pretty entertaining for sure. I don't know about it being one of the best of it's kind as many have suggested, I like watching docs and most of them are pretty enjoyable, but this one definitely had a storyline you couldn't have scripted better.

Exactly how I felt. It was good, and very funny at points. Some of those cronies for the hot sauce guy were pretty pathetic.

Jillian Wiebe: I never knew that the Guinness World Record Book was so... I never knew it was so important. Steve Wiebe: I guess a lot of people are... yeah, a lot of people read that book. Jillian Wiebe: [while directly looking at Steve, her father] Some people sort of ruin their lives to be in there.

Very entertaining documentary. For any South Park fans, the 'More Crap' episode where Randy takes the record setting shit and is challenged by Bono is inspired by this film. Both were very funny.

The look on Steve Wiebe's face is priceless...and then they cut away! I wanted to see that play out!
Having said that though, anybody else feel the need to punch Billy Mitchell in the face?
