I just saw this last week and it has been gnawing at my mind ever since. It's very slow and philosophical but everything in it works really well, and the effect is just immense. g_v posted a synopsis in the "films you want to see thread" but it's basically about the trip of two men (escorted by a third, the title character) into "the Zone," a ruinous wasteland. In the Zone is rumored to be a room where one's innermost wishes come true.

I think it might be in my top ten, and I don't even know if I want to see it again. Check it out.

You might hate it or really love it. It got to me on a really high level.

i'm glad i watched it. it was an interesting cinematic experience and also beautifully shot. however, i'm not sure i'd watch it again anytime soon or if it will ever be a favourite of mine.
