can you get help- like a recruiter- they call them Head-hunters around here, and they specialize in finding jobs for people with specialized education and training- plus if it works anything like in the States, you don't pay them, they company that ends up employing you will.

Do the number of positions specific to those with liberal arts degree vary significantly during the economic cycle? During the tech bubble, was there suddenly a huge demand for art historians?

no, during the tech bubble, people were hired IN SPITE of majoring in Art History.
