Anyone else a fan?
Point Blank and Hell In The Pacific are uncompromising masterpieces. I haven't seen Deliverance in years, but I have fond memories of it. I'll be rewatching it soon.
I actually hated Excalibur, though.
Next I'll be watching The Emerald Forest and Zardoz. I'm also very curious about The Exorcist II: The Heretic. Seems to be insanely polarizing.

I admit, though, it's been a number of years since I've watched it- like 10, maybe? so I suppose I should watch it again and see if it's aged badly.
That can happen pretty easily- I watched 2001: A Space Odyssey a couple weeks ago with my boyfriend, and he'd never seen it before- it was so bad it was funny. We decided it would be a great "Mystery Science Theater 3000" movie though.

Whenever I think of John Boorman, I can't help comparing Nicole Williamson as Arthur and Richard Burton as Arthur.
I own a copy of Zardoz, so I'll definitely get back to you after I watch that, which should be soon. EII probably won't be as soon, since Blockbuster is selling off their copy and I don't want to pay $10 for it. Would have been nice to rent. Oh well.

I think for it's time, yes. But I had a hard time watching it last month, and I live for well done sci fi, this just doesn't do it for me, not now anyway.

Rewatched Deliverance last night. It is definitely a good movie. The shot composition and camera movement are stellar, and Boorman does a great job maintaining a tense, uneasy atmosphere throughout.

Watched Zardoz last night, just for you. I enjoyed it. Boatloads of great satire, and some pretty cool images. The opening scene was particularly great.
Could have done without the Plan 9 From Outer Space opening monologue, though.
