I'm going to this on Friday. I completely forgot it was even coming out, and I just happened to check the theater showtimes. Crazy. It's actually getting a pretty good reaction on IMDb, too. I'm pumped.

I'm so fucking pissed I don't get a chance to see this.
Fuck you Weinsteins.

It's not playing by you?
Not even close. The closest spot is Pittsburgh which is a 4 1/2 hour drive. I'd like to think it might expand, but somehow I doubt it.

I saw this last week in the city and had a Q & A with George A. Romero after the showing. The movie itself kinda moves along from a Point of View kinda like Cloverfield, and it focus's more on the people in the movie than the zombies. It was good though, I thought it was intresting and better than land of the dead. Romero also mentioned after wards that he had aproject with ed harris that was never made and that day of the dead is still his favorite of the dead series.

Oh that's right - you live in the middle of nowhere like I used to.
Yeah, I pretty much do. The sad part is there's no excuse for it, we have at least 6 theaters in the area, but they all play the same crap. It took us forever to get There Will Be Blood, yet we were one of like 500 or so cities to get Feast, House of 1000 Corpses, etc. It's very hit or miss. I held out hope but all the theater listings are up and no one got it.
Where do you live now?

Where do you live now?
A suburb of Chicago.
So you're pretty much set then. I think there's even midnight showings in your area then. I guess I'll be waiting on dvd.

That's not a good outcome either.
Either way I want to see it. It's not like there's anything else out for me to go see either.

I'll wait for video, Land of The Dead was subpar and it sounds like Romero put too much sociological commentary into this. These are just fucking ZOMBIE MOVIES, George.

All of the romero dead movies are filled to the brim with social commentary.

haha, no. These are far from just zombie movies dude. That's what makes them so much better than all the other ones out there.
Hopefully I will be seeing this shit today.
