I'm not sure I agree with this move, but at least they got in the part about voiding the contract.

How can you not agree, if the story is correct? They can void it at ANY TIME if the knee injury flairs up.. that as risk free as a contract gets.

You figure he will double the OF power numbers from last year if he's healthy, which is a huge deal. Now you can also drop Young to 6th- and he is one hell of a hitter to have at #6

1. Sanchez
2. Inge
3. Pudge
4. Ordonez
5. Guillen (best SS in baseball last year- and i will stand behind that)
6. Young
7. White/Monroe
8. Pena
9. Infante

is a much better lineup than we have seen in years.

That is a huge, huge friggin contract. Dombrowski has to overpay though to get guys in there after a decade of the franchise being a total joke. If Maggs can get back to his .300/30/100 average that he had pre-injury, they've got a chance to win the Central.

Its a horrible contract if it wernt for the injury clauses... But a great one with them.
