After Bush's term is over and a new president is elected do you think the band will still play Bu$hleauger?

that's the problem with so-called "protest" songs. they're stuck in time and become totally irrelevant once the addressed situation changes. some might argue that they're necessary because when it's a well-written song, they can help people that are less interrested in politics (for instance) gather information to make an opinion of their own. unfortunately, many a fan won't question the artist's stance.
i really love BU$HLEAGUER musically and the "blackout weaves its way through the city" part. i really don't care much for the rest of this lyrical mess although i obviously hate the Bush administration.

I really like the chorus, too. Maybe they'll break out new lyrics for the 2008 Vote For Change tour. That would be fun.

I don't know. But there's definitely going to be some kind of tour. According to dimejinkie, PJ asked the Frames to open for them, but they had to refuse.

it isn't really anyway:
only once last year and only 5 times in the whole of the 2006 tour, 3 of those in Europe.

That was the genius of Dylan. Instead of using specifics, his songs are universal. "Even the President of the United States sometimes must have to stand naked!"

I don't think they will play it after he leaves office.

If they were playing a date on some important anniversary of the administration I could see them busting it out. Some of it probably depends too on how much Bush is able to stay in the limelight. If he disappears and some of the visceral hatred people have for him disappears it is less likely
